This Senior formula is great for inactive or overweight dogs because it's a low protein dog food that has fewer calories. Because the food is high density, you feed 20-25% less than other foods. The Chicken and Lamb formula is made with rice and wheat. Ordinary dog foods are made with corn. Rice and Wheat are easier to digest than corn; therefore, easier on your dog's system. Various selected parts of the wheat berry are used along with whole wheat flour as it is one of the most nutritionally balanced grains. A combination of grains provides better nutrition than one grain.
There is no sprayed-on additive or greasy coating to make the taste acceptable. Ordinary dog foods are extruded under high pressure and extreme temperatures and then sprayed with fat and other products in order to encourage dogs to eat.

FEEDING GUIDE:
Feed your dog once a day. Have plenty of fresh water available. Food requirements vary depending on climate, breed of dog, and exercise activity. The following are suggested amounts. Feed an amount that will maintain your dog's weight.

It is better to introduce Super Premium foods by mixing with your dog's usual food and increasing the amount of Flint River Ranch over several days. It will take time for your dog to adjust to the Super Premium quality. A sudden change in any food source may be a shock to your dog's digestive system, so you may notice loose stool. If so, reduce the amount being fed until your dog adjusts.
